PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Assistant Security Manager will report to the Facilities and Security Manager, Asia and assist to manage the day-to-day security operations of the premises.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor all security systems and respond to all security and fire alarm activations and alerts;
  • Carry out emergency procedures in line with written instructions;
  • Identify potential strengths/weaknesses in security and escalate accordingly;
  • Ensure that appropriate security measures are taken to secure the premises.
  • Manage performance of the out-sourced security team as directed by the Facilities and Security Manager, Asia;
  • Ensure a thorough end of shift handover with the oncoming officer is conducted at the end of each shift.
  • Manage all Escalations in line with Building Emergency Procedures.
  • Committed to Health & Safety and ensure that you are familiar with all Phillips Health & Safety policies and procedures. Police and encourage observance with all site security & safety policies, in particular ensuring that the access control, and Health & Safety policies are observed and enforced.
  • Respond to all incidents in a timely and effective manner by directing the activities of all affected persons, aimed at all times to safeguard the assets of Phillips ensuring that direction from the Facilities and Security Manager, Asia is sought where appropriate.
  • Maintain all required records as directed by the Facilities and Security Manager, Asia to ensure that full transparency of events and their handling is possible.
  • Manage a polite and effective meet and greet service to all staff and visitors, whilst strictly observing access control procedures.
  • Report building/equipment fault reports where appropriate escalating to the Facilities and Security Manager, Asia.
  • During corporate events, liaise with the Facilities and Security Manager, Asia to ensure that adequate levels of security are maintained during the life of any event and complete any additional closedown checks that are required after the event has concluded.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Facilities and Security Manager, Asia.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Tertiary education or above, preferably in risk and security management related discipline;
  • Holder of valid Security Personnel Permit;
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with at least 2 years of experience in supervisory role in security field, preferably within a luxury brand environment;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • A good standard of computer literacy (including MS Office applications): Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
  • Holder of First Aid Certificate is preferred;
  • Holder of a Professional Security Certificate has an advantage;

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work is undertaken from Hong Kong office;
  • Work on Weekends and Public Holidays when necessary.
