Assistant Student Affairs Manager I

The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) is responsible for the provision of desirable services for students of the University and enhancing their learning experience. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team dedicated to fostering whole-person development and a vibrant campus life of students.
Responsibilities
- Render support to the development and implementation of student activities policies, and to the formation and registration of student societies
- Plan and manage events and services for student societies, including booking venues, advising on orientation events, and supporting various student-led activities
- Manage and supervise the day-to-day operation of the student amenities including the newly established Learning Commons and other student activity spaces
- Liaise with internal and/or external parties for leadership training and student development opportunities for student leaders
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
- Work outside normal office hours, including weekends, as required
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of eight years of relevant administrative experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector assigned with managerial duties
- Relevant experience in managing student societies and amenities in universities/NGOs
- A very good command of written and verbal English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
- Strong sense of self-motivation, responsibility and teamwork relation
- Able to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Proactive and able to carry out duties independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
- A strong interest in working with young adults
Candidates with less/more experience will be considered for appointment at a relevant rank.
Salary and Fringe Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
