Director – Business Development

 Responsibilities:

• To oversee the functions including the Sales and Marketing,  Promotions, Branding and communications, Funding, and Revenue generated projects.
• To develop and execute impactful sales, marketing, and business development strategies to enhance revenue and margins.
• To lead the Sales & Marketing team, collaborating with stakeholders to achieve long-term business objectives.
• To meet revenue growth targets and rationalize operating costs to achieve reasonable surplus margins.
• To work closely with internal stakeholders to devise and implement sales plans and strategies.
• To provide leadership across various departments, motivating the sales and marketing team to foster a productive cross-functional work environment.
• To identify and pursue new business opportunities, sponsorship, partnerships and revenue streams that align with business goals.
• To develop and implement strategic business development plan that involves conducting market research, identifying target markets, and assessing potential growth opportunities.
• To identify and cultivate relationships with potential sponsors, vendors and other partners to secure mutually beneficial partnerships. Involve negotiating contracts, developing sponsorship packages, and managing on-going relationships.

 Requirements:

• Degree holder in event management, marketing, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in senior managerial roles (experience in Sports and recreation industry or Club House is advantageous).
• Strong background in financial management, with a proven track record of achieving budget targets and increasing revenue.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, sponsors, and partners and with colleagues at all organizational levels.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical and strategic mindset.
