The Events and Partnership Assistant Manager will play a crucial role in developing bespoke content and forming partnerships with relevant brands and financial institutions to drive new business initiatives. This role involves supporting overall event management, and facilitating communication with both internal and external stakeholders. The role will implement successful multi-channel marketing and client engagement campaigns in close collaboration with the Marketing, Creative, and Content Digital teams to ensure departmental and corporate objectives are met and exceeded. The role will work with Christie’s Education, Events & Partnership, and Marketing teams to ensure smooth execution and promotion of programs. Additionally, the role will collaborate with specialist departments and regional APAC offices on potential programs and assist with charity auction inquiries. They will also manage and monitor costs within budget and contribute to improving internal process mapping for optimal team performance.

Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to

  • Strategically develop educational programs based on key auction period, and off season.
  • Maintain and engage the existing client database with new programs and promotions.
  • Coordinate guest speakers, internal stakeholders, and materials for use.
  • Develop and expand partnerships to gain new business opportunities and enhance client engagement.
  • Collaborate with Christie’s Education and specialist departments to conceptualize programming strategies for top clients.
  • Develop proposals and marketing materials for potential partners.
  • Support charity auction logistics and implement branding for Christie’s.
  • Work closely with the marketing and creative teams to ensure eNewsletter content is accurate and includes key programming.
  • Liaise with Client Strategy and Client Advisory to identify potential partnership opportunities with external organizations that align with corporate strategy.
  • Partner with other support departments, outside vendors, and teammates to ensure timely event logistics.
  • Demonstrate expertise in event management, vendor negotiation, event contract procedures, logistics, and audience management.
  • Create detailed plans and ensure all key stakeholders are informed of timelines and requirements, with proper monitoring, tracking, and delivery of events and programs.
  • Ensure allocated budgets for initiatives are met and all marketing financial processes, including raising purchase orders and processing supplier invoices, are handled promptly.
  • Leverage strategic partnership opportunities by working closely with the Head of Events and Partnerships.

The Candidate

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in marketing and educational programs, experience in luxury goods industry or commercial art world being desirable.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing client engagement or marketing strategy.
  • Strong project and staff management skills, highly organized, and efficient with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to find innovative solutions.
  • Entrepreneurial approach combined with energy and enthusiasm to create innovative programming
  • Superior client service skills, with the ability to engage consistently with a range of clients, from outside vendors to top clients and senior management.
  • Self-starter with ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a logical and solution-oriented mindset and good judgment.
  • Good visual literacy and understanding of branding principles.
  • Experience of targeting new clients and reaching new markets would be desirable.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage a diverse and heavy workload .
  • Demonstrable experience in managing budgets.
  • Dedicated and flexible with working hours.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English and Mandarin and Cantonese.
