Duties
- Serve as the Personal Assistant to the Head of the Department, handling a variety of administrative tasks, including personnel functions, managing a diary, coordinating correspondence, scheduling meetings and appointments, organising travel arrangements, liaising with university departments and external parties, preparing documents and reports, etc.;
- Undertake housekeeping tasks in the departmental general office, such as office maintenance, procurement of office supplies and equipment, and providing logistic support for departmental events and activities, etc.;
- Manage records and databases;
- Coordinate matters related to departmental website, publicity, and e-circulars; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5 passes (Grade E/Level 2) in HKCEE/HKDSEE including English Language (at least Grade C if Syllabus A), Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 2 years’ working experience;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment, good interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong sense of responsibility;
- Being attentive to work details and task quality;
- Ability to work independently and efficiently on multiple tasks; and
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word-processing) are required.
- Knowledge of Photoshop and MS Access would be an advantage.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
