Executive Officer (Enterprise Education and Promotion) in the Office of the Senior Vice-President (Innovation and Enterprise) [Ref. B/920/03]
The appointee will manage the newly initiated Startup Technology Entrepreneur programme (STEP) and support the HK Tech 300 development in Mainland’s start-up ecosystem.
Duties
- Manage the operation of the Startup Technology Entrepreneurship programme (STEP);
- Liaise with non-local startups through a university-based innovation programme, government-sponsored startup support programme, or other entrepreneurship support organisations;
- Facilitate and support students participating in STEP, including VISA, accommodation, travel arrangements, progress monitoring, event arrangements, etc.;
- Develop and manage partnerships within the start-up ecosystem in the Mainland;
- Lead and synergise start-up events and competitions to increase programme exposure and attract innovative start-ups and entrepreneurs;
- Collaborate with external stakeholders to enhance support services for start-ups;
- Identify opportunities for collaboration and resource sharing with other incubation programmes; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Frequent travels outside of Hong Kong are required.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or above with at least 7 years solid managerial/relevant experience, preferably major in business related subject with relevant professional/postgraduate qualifications;
- Demonstrated experience/involvement in ecosystem management and entrepreneurship training;
- Innovation mindset with a passion for supporting students’ training;
- Excellent business development and networking skills; and
- Competence in strategic thinking and planning with excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (or other languages) and interpersonal skills.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
