Executive Officer I (Quality Assurance and Accreditation) in the College of Business [Ref. B/911/03]

Duties

Reporting to the Director of Administration, the appointee will have the following major responsibilities:

  1. Administer the quality assurance, department academic advisor scheme, and program review processes in support of the College’s core mission and education goals;
  2. Coordinate the external accreditation reviews (AACSB and EQUIS), and provide high-level advice and expertise in other accreditation-related matters;
  3. Serve as the main liaison to external accreditation agencies (AACSB and EFMD offices) and coordinator for the overall College-wide accreditation effort;
  4. Provide secretarial support to the Business College Board, College International Advisory Board and other college-level committees;
  5. Assist the Director (Administration) in overseeing the provision of administrative support in different areas relating to the College’s overall administration; and
  6. Perform any other duties or special projects as assigned.

The appointee may be required to work irregular hours and travel to mainland China and overseas countries.

Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics/Journalism/English/Translation or related disciplines, with at least 7 years of relevant post-qualification experience;
  2. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  3. Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills;
  4. Strong sense of responsibility, self-motivated, resourceful and dynamic;
  5. Ability to respond proactively to a rapidly changing environment with a positive and flexible attitude;
  6. Capable of working effectively under pressure and solving problems with tact and professionalism; and
  7. Knowledge and experience in accreditation and quality assurance matters are preferred.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
