The University is now looking for a high caliber candidate to join our heating, ventilation and air conditioning services unit of Building Services (Operation & Maintenance) Team.
The appointee will participate in the operation and maintenance of the University’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning installations, including chemical treatment system, air handling units, ventilation fans, circulation pumps, etc. to ensure that they are operated and maintained in a safe, reliable and efficient manner.
The appointee is expected to perform the following duties:
- Supervising in-house staff and service contractors;
- Monitoring manpower and material resources for routine repair and maintenance works;
- Liaising and coordinate with internal parties, end-users and services contractors on the planned maintenance, daily operation, replacement, improvement and upgrading works of heating, ventilation and air conditioning installations;
- Assisting in implementing, testing and commissioning work of new projects;
- Engaging in hands-on work on various heating, ventilation and air conditioning installations;
- Preparing reports using MS Office applications; and
- Performing shift duty and attending emergency duties.
Applicants should have a diploma/certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related disciplines plus at least 3 years of relevant work experience. A good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua), and proficiency in MS Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word) are essential. The ideal candidate should also have ability to work independently. Extensive work experience with operation and maintenance of large scale of central chiller plant system is definitely an advantage. Applicants with lower academic qualification but extensive relevant work experience will also be considered. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
