Position: Full-time Research Assistant

Job Duties

The appointee will assist in implementing an RGC funded project entitled “Positive side to juggling between work and care? A mixed-method investigation on work-family enrichment among Hong Kong working caregivers for adults with long-term care needs” undertaken by Dr. Lau Hi Po of the Department of Counselling and Psychology.

He/she will be responsible for the following tasks: 

1. literature review;
2. data collection and data analysis;
3. conduct and organize social impact activities ;
4. drafting academic manuscripts and editorials; and
5. other research and administrative duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator and the Co-Principal Investigators.

Requirements

Applicants should have: (i) preferably a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, social work or public health or related discipline; (ii) strong background in quantitative or qualitative data analysis; (iii) past experience in working with non-profit / non-governmental organizations; (vi) ability to work independently and collaboratively; and (v) good written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese.

Terms and Conditions

The appointment will be made on the basis of a 21-month contract, with a possibility of renewal, subject to mutual agreement and funding availability. The remuneration package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
