Library Officer (Resource Management)

Kong Mou Sum Library

 

Job Description:

  • Assist in coordinating the Collection Development and supervise the daily operation of acquisition procedures of the Library
  • Coordinate the Bibliographic Metadata Service of the Library, including cataloguing coordination, bibliographic control, bulk records import, etc.
  • Attend counter duties during evening and weekend shifts for providing lending services, information searching, answering enquiries, etc.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to the College-wide activities
  • Any other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirement:

  • A recognized university degree, preferably in information management or related disciplines
  • Working knowledge of using acquisition and resource management module of Alma would be advantageous
  • Working experience in academic libraries is highly preferred
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as a team as well as independently
  • Good command of English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua)
