Marketing Officer / Assistant Marketing Officer (Temporary Appointment)(Ref. 241231003-IE)
[Appointment period: six months initially, with possibility of further appointment]
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) contribute actively to branding and marketing initiatives to enhance the University's brand image and reputation in the Mainland;
(b) assist in planning and executing University`s branding communication and marketing strategies, as well as result-driven campaigns that utilise various channels to boost brand awareness and preference in the Mainland;
(c) create and publish posts on mainland social media platforms, including but not limited to WeChat, WeChat Channels, Xiaohongshu, Weibo, and Zhihu, and to handle layout design and operational management for various social media platforms;
(d) conduct regular social media operational analysis to maintain close connections with social media platform communities including interactions, and to organise community events;
(e) support the development of creative social media campaigns, including presentations, marketing messages, articles and videos, to enhance branding and engage target audiences;
(f) build and maintain strong relationships with key social media contacts, media vendors, and digital platform providers;
(g) ensure all marketing materials and activities align with the University's brand guidelines and provide support to internal and external stakeholders; and
(h) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Mainland Development or his/her delegates.
The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours and travel outside Hong Kong for the purposes of attending meetings and providing support to projects/activities/events.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree with at least three years of experience in branding, digital/multi-media or integrated marketing, preferably with a focus on China market;
(b) strong business acumen and analytical skill;
(c) the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines;
(d) a collaborative team spirit with a proactive approach to supporting colleagues;
(e) proficiency in managing social media platforms and related software applications; and
(f) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua.
Preference will be given to those who have experience in copywriting and video production in media outlets or university media teams. Applicant with less experience may be considered for the post of Assistant Marketing Officer.
Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.
