Merchandiser / Assistant Manager – Trims

(1) Merchandiser's responsibilities

• Perform Trims Sourcing and Development from artwork to proto approval.
• Ensure development, approvals and bulk timeliness are being adhered.
• Work closely with the US Trims developers, Design & Production teams.
• Negotiate Trims prices.
• Ensure quality of newly developed trims meeting requirements.
• Proactively provide development suggestions / options relating to pricing and improving design for production quality.
• Work with trims suppliers and garment factories on meeting bulk delivery deadline.
• Liaise with the supplier for the relevant statutory and compliance testing.
• Work with cross functional teams when there are any quality issues on bulk trims.
• Coordinate with production for final pricing and reservation of relevant materials.
• Manage PLM trims supplier data accuracy.

(2) Assistant Manager's responsibilities

• Ensure quality of newly developed trims meeting requirements.

• Problem solving and execution.
• Proactively provide development suggestions / options relating to pricing and improving design for production quality.
• Work with trims suppliers and garment factories on meeting bulk delivery deadline.
• Liaise with the supplier for the relevant statutory and compliance testing.
• Work with cross functional teams when there are any quality issues on bulk trims.
• Coordinate with production for final pricing and reservation of relevant materials.
• Manage PLM trims supplier data accuracy.
• Explore new sourcing opportunities, new inspiration, market intelligence.

Requirements for above openings.

• Polytechnic graduates in clothing, merchandising or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant working experiences on Trims sourcing, development and production.
• Strong product & material knowledge of trims on garments.
• Costing and negotiations experiences.
• Strong technical knowledge, testing/standard, preferably for US market.
• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
• Ability to provide and execute solution for problem.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
• Able to work under pressure, result oriented, self-motivated, detailed minded & forward thinking.
• Immediate available or short notice is preferable.
• Candidate with more experience will be considered as Assistant Trims Manager.
