Major Responsibilities:
1. Report to buyers and department manager and Supervisor under the Seasonal Department
2. Provide quality service to buyers and suppliers throughout the procurement process
3. Handle new projects, sourcing, and product development in a timely manner
4. Conduct negotiations with suppliers
5. Handle and monitor the order progress tightly, including sample, testing, inline/final inspection and shipment
6. Travel periodically to China office for sample approval and follow-up work
7. Travel to take inline inspection, progress and quality check for important orders
8. Travel to China/overseas for preview trips, Travel to China/overseas for buying trips and factory visits with buyers
9. Handle product categories: Christmas Decor, Spring and Garden Decor
Requirements:
1. Higher Diploma holder or above
2. Minimum 3-5 years of solid merchandising experience in sourcing and buying for Seasonal products
3. Experience in manufacturing environment is a plus
4. Sound product knowledge in Seasonal products and familiarity with the US market
5. Proven experience working independently with overseas buyers
6. Self-motivated, hardworking, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure with good time management skills
7. Good organizational skills, able to handle multiple tasks and possess a high level of initiative and integrity
8. Excellent interpersonal skills, strong negotiating power, and capable of interacting effectively with all levels
9. Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
10. Adequate computer knowledge and proficient in MS Office
