Procurement Officer

About the role

Prodigy Electronics Ltd, a leading manufacturer of electronic components, is seeking a Procurement Officer to join our team in Kwun Tong District. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement and inventory processes, ensuring a seamless supply chain to support our production operations.

What you'll be doing

• Developing and implementing procurement strategies to obtain high-quality Printed Circuit Boards at competitive prices
• Negotiating contracts with suppliers, monitoring their performance, and maintaining strong relationships
• Forecasting and planning inventory levels to meet production demands while minimising excess stock
• Coordinating with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with production schedules and targets
• Identifying and evaluating new suppliers to expand the company's sourcing options
• Preparing and analysing procurement reports to provide insights and recommendations for improvement
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain role, preferably within the manufacturing industry
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships
• Proficient in inventory management, forecasting, and planning techniques
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities
• Familiarity with procurement software and data analysis tools
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
