The CUHK Business School is a leading business school and a pioneer in business education in Hong Kong. The School has been offering a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes (DBA, MBA,MSc, MAcc, EMBA, PhD) with over 4,600 students from 20+ countries/regions, as well as executive education programmes. It has one of the most extensive alumni networks in the region, with over 40,000 alumni around the world.

The Faculty Office is a dynamic team of administrative staff to support the School in various aspects of its activities including academic development, strategic and resources planning, outreach and external engagement, etc. The Office works closely with academic units /offices within the School and the University, as well as external stakeholders.

Reporting to the Team Head or his/her delegate(s), the appointee will be responsible for (a) handling human resources matters; (b) assisting in financial matters by performing specific tasks as assigned; (c) providing administrative support to day-to-day operations of the Office; (d) planning, co-ordinating and providing logistical support to Faculty-wide events and initiatives; and (e) performing other impromptu duties as assigned. Working at flexible hours may be required. 

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree; (ii) at least 3 years’ relevant post-qualification work experience, preferably in the tertiary education or public sector; (iii) a detail-minded work attitude with good analytical, communication, interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills; (iv) a collaborative and can-do work attitude, self-motivation, and a strong sense of commitment and ownership; (v) the ability to work independently and as a team member; (vi) proficiency in using MS Office; and (vii) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua). Hands-on knowledge of the University systems (such as CUPIS, CUSAP, etc.) and experience in human resources matters and / or general office management are highly advantageous. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end-gratuity commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
