The University is seeking highly skilled professionals to join our Building Services - Development Team, providing crucial support to the Head of Building Services - Development in the comprehensive planning and design of building services systems for both existing and future developments. This role plays a vital part in fulfilling the University's long-term vision of creating an appealing and sustainable campus environment conducive to higher education by engaging in proactive planning and delivering top-tier professional services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Participate in the master planning of building services systems, focusing on extensions, upgrades, and improvements to meet the University's evolving needs and strategic growth plans. Enhance system resilience to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
2. Contribute to the development of sustainable building services solutions by implementing industry best practices and cutting-edge technologies in energy efficiency, carbon footprint reduction, water conservation, and environmental sustainability.
3. Manage various projects within the University, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget constraints, and delivery of high-quality outcomes.
4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives, offering technical guidance and expertise on discipline-specific matters to project team members and other departments.
5. Coordinate with stakeholders to finalize project requirements, oversee the design phases, prepare documentation for tendering and construction, and supervise the procurement and construction processes.
6. Monitor construction quality to uphold standards and ensure installations meet operational needs.
7. Undertake additional responsibilities as delegated by senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in building services design and project management for building and infrastructure development projects.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese, along with expertise in AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities, a keen sense of accountability, and the capacity to work autonomously.
• Membership in professional bodies such as HKIE, CIBSE, IMechE, or similar is advantageous.
• Solid background in developing and managing institutional buildings, hospitals, laboratories, and specialization in HVAC systems are desirable.
• Duration: Initial 2-year contract with potential extension subject to project requirements.

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
