Project Quantity Surveyor / QS Manager

We are a specialist trade subcontractor for the design and build of architectural finishing products in commercial building works, with a long establishment in the market. Currently, we have awarded several Government hospital projects and are in an expansion plan to strengthen our tendering and project management team. We are looking for a highly motivated professional talent to join our executive team to oversee both tendering and project delivery, with establishment of data intelligence frameworks for our Group.

Responsibilities:

• Provide full pre- and post-contract QS services, including tendering, contract administration, cost estimation & control, etc., for assigned projects;
• Prepare and monitor the valuation of variation works, interim payments and settle final accounts with Clients and Sub-contractors;
• Deal with significant contractual issues including extension of time, loss and expense claims, etc;
• Check and evaluate the subletting, materials ordering, variation estimates, and final accounts of projects;
• Communicate and coordinate with internal and external parties from tendering, contract administration to project acceptance;
• Support the Commercial Director and sales executive for Project Cashflow forecast, Tender Recommendation Reports, and subsequent Cost Reports for execution;
• Prepare contract documents for the sub-letting / procurement process;
• Represent the Company professionally and diligently, meeting, negotiating, and corresponding with clients to form a solid working team in a true partnership.

Requirements:

• Degree / High diploma holder in Quantity Surveying / Building Studies or equivalent;
• MHKIS, MRICS, or equivalent is preferred but not a must;
• Minimum of 6 years relevant working experience in architectural fitting out projects for commercial and building works;
• Practical site experience is necessary, with excellent interpersonal & negotiation skills;
• Proactive, well-organized, responsible, and able to work under pressure;
• Well-versed in MS Office applications and Costing software;
• Proficient in English, Cantonese, and Putonghua, both written and spoken;
• Detail-minded, problem-solving skills, positive and proactive attitude with a strong sense of responsibility;
• Candidates with more experience will be considered as QS Manager.
