R&D - Manager / Senior Manager / Divisional Manager (Apparel)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all product development cycles in all categories (i.e. wovens, cut-sewn knits and sweaters) with support from designers assigned for each category.
• Conduct trend and market research and translate into brand right products for the brand
• Give precise PD directions to technical team and vendors to execute samples
• Act as the point person to communicate with customers on PD matters
• Conduct sample presentation of all sorts to customers. Travels may be required
• Manage internal workflow and TNA of each project
• Work with cross function departments in the division closely
• Support to develop new potential customers if required
• Guide and lead vendor R&D teams to provide right products and inspiration to customers
• Communicate closely with vendors for regular market intelligence input that is right for customers

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor degree in fashion or apparel design or related discipline
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in the industry with over 3 years of senior designer experience. Previous experience with the North American market preferred
• Possess strong fashion sense and the ability to translate up to market trends to commercial and saleable products
• Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Able to work under pressure and liaise with multiple parties to meet all project deadlines.
• Experience in 3D sampling (CLO) is a plus
