Research Assistant

The Department of Social Work invites applications for the position of a full-time Research Assistant, who will support the implementation of 21C@JC, a project granted by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, to transform the Integrated Children and Youth Services Centres (“ICYSCs”) for the 21st Century for effective engagement of youth to bridge divide, unleash potential, and contribute for social good.

Applicants should have (i) a good Master’s degree and/or a Bachelor’s degree; (ii) good communication and interpersonal skills; (iii) a strong sense of responsibility and self-discipline; and (iv) the ability to work independently and in a team. Having research experience is preferred.

The appointee will support the investigators in carrying out the following tasks: (a) preparing the quantitative research tools (e.g. SPSS, Power BI and Excel); (b) supporting the implementation of the quantitative survey questionnaires (e.g. Qualtrics); (c) documentation of the practice experience; (d) co-leading the transformative learning process; (e) processing and analysing quantitative data; and (f) assisting in drafting the research reports.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for two years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract) commencing August 2024, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
