Andrew Lee King Fun & Associates Architects Ltd invites applicants for the following post :-

Resident Architect (RA)

Minimum qualifications required:-

a)  Registered Architect registered under the Architects Registration Ordinance (Chapter 408 of the Laws of the HKSAR); and

b)  have a minimum of 10 years' post-qualification site experience; and

c)  have satisfied the qualification of Grade E or above in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent

 

Duties of Appointment :-

a) Lead team of sub-consultants to provide overall coordination to works and to ensure timely delivery of project. Review and approvals of shop drawings and other submissions from contractors to resolve on site architectural difficulties arising from circumstances to allow the architectural works to progress with minimum disruption, and in case of action involving variations to design, consult the Supervising Officer or his representatives;

b) to coordinate builder’s works requirements in connection to building services, facade, landscape, and other trades to deal with the consequential changes to architectural design and to produce sketch plans and working drawings;

c) to watch and inspect, to test and examine materials used and workmanship employed in the architectural work, to ensure that they are complying with the specification, drawings and construction procedure with the assistance of the site supervisory staff;

d) to identify defective material s and workmanship in the architectural work not complying with the specification, drawings and construction procedure, and to coordinate appropriate tests on the defective architectural work;

e) to communicate with the SO and site supervisory staff on architectural works;

f) to report to the SO or his representatives any matters of unusual aspect for direction;

g) to maintain site record on architectural work and to coordinate the checking of architectural work with the assistance of site supervisory staff;

h) to monitor the progress and to produce timely information in advance of construction to avoid delay;

i) to submit for acceptance any architectural details, in particular any Temporary Work as required in the Contract;

j) to attend regular and ad hoc meetings and to prepare minutes and records there connected;

k) to assist the SO or his representatives in the investigation and to prepare report on the acceptable or otherwise the use of materials;

l) to prepare design, estimate and specification in collaboration with allied disciplines;

m) to act as TCP and to carry out the site safety management functions under the Authorized Person stream as outlined in the Technical Memorandum for Supervision Plans 2009 and detailed in the Code of Practice for Site Safety Supervision 2009 and the latest amendments; and

n) to undertake any other duties in connection with site construction activities

 

General Note:

  • The tentative commencement date of employment will be started around early January 2025.
  • The tentative contract duration will be around 42 months.
