JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Account Management
- Build and nurture strong partnerships with key stakeholders to drive business growth across Asia.
- Lead Open-to-Buy (OTB) discussions with partners to identify sales opportunities and risks, ensuring alignment with mutual goals.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to execute localized marketing events.
- Provide operational support to partners, including training, visual merchandising, promotions, logistics, and legal compliance.
- Conduct regular market visits to stay updated on trends and ensure brand standards are met.
Merchandising Planning/Assortment
- Work with Retail Merchandising to ensure appropriate assortments are communicated and locations are adequately serviced.
- Regularly assess stock levels and propose OTB adjustments to travel retail partners.
- Prepare account-specific analyses and supporting documentation as needed.
- Manage communication and timelines between the New York/EU office and travel retail partners.
- Establish suggested retail pricing targets and determine distribution channels based on market conditions.
Business Development
- Assist the Director in creating and implementing business development plans for the region.
- Oversee projects related to store expansions and renovations to maximize sales potential (concessions, bidding, CAPEX, store design).
- Conduct market assessments to analyze competitors’ store locations and product offerings.
Reports and Analyses
- Collaborate with cross functional teams in Switzerland and New York teams on product analysis and buying plans.
- Review weekly results by classification to identify business trends.
- Facilitate seasonal pricing strategies to align with global benchmarks.
- Analyze market data and competitor activities to compare product performance and make recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction and sales.
- Conduct sales data analyses and other ad-hoc analyses as required.
SKILLS and WORK EXPERIENCE
- Strong management and operational skills with a proven track record in consumer products
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the luxury, fashion, or travel retail sectors
- Experience managing a P&L statement
- Proactive, presentable, self-motivated, team-oriented, and adept at problem-solving
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent data analysis and multitasking skills
- Proficient in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
- Occasional travel is required
