Senior Merchandiser

Job Description

• Source vendors and develop new products according to the objectives and requirements of the company
• Responsible for product development from, material sourcing, sampling, follow-up bulk production and commercialization of the product
• Conduct supplier evaluation and proposals comparison, and negotiate with suppliers for competitive price and terms
• Monitor day-to-day operation including manufactures management, delivery schedule and quality control
• Risk assessment and precaution to ensure materials meet the brand specification and testing requirement
• Maintains material developments and testing data records
• Finalizes materials details, prices, surcharges, lead times and order/color minimums to meet calendar deadlines
• Travel overseas for the market trip and factory visits when necessary
• Assist to ad hoc tasks

 Requirements

• Diploma in Textile & Clothing or related qualification is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in apparel brands or related industry, specific Sportswear
• Completely up to speed on fabric trends that are appropriate to our brand
• Able to work under pressure, embrace changes, result-oriented, strong problem solving skills and able to manage multiple tasks environment
• Strong technical knowledge, good organization skills
• Strong sourcing experience with supplier required
• Coordinate with internally with different departments and externally with overseas suppliers
• Good English & Mandarin is advantage
• Immediately available is preferred
