Senior Programme Manager

CarbonCare InnoLab (CCIL) registered under the laws of Hong Kong as a non-profit making and tax exempt charity. CCIL aims at nurturing and expanding an active community for climate justice. It is actively engaging NGOs, business, policy makers, the youths for achieving just transition to a low carbon economy where vulnerable communities will be respected and protected.

SENIOR PROGRAMME MANAGER

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual who aligns with our values and initiatives, and is ready to contribute to building a greener and more sustainable Hong Kong. We require an experienced, self-motivated and resourceful person who is able to lead current projects as well as contribute to the organisation’s future growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with Executive Director to implement CCIL’s strategic direction in alignment with its mission;
• Lead, oversee and manage the Programme Team to design and execute climate programmes, including mitigation, adaptation and youth empowerment initiatives;
• Ensure effective budget management and resource allocation to optimise programme delivery;
• Establish and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders, including international and local foundations, government bodies, academic institutions, civic organisations, NGOs and potential partners to enhance programme effectiveness, visibility and impact;
• Identify funding opportunities and develop grant proposals to secure financial support for CCIL’s programmes;
• Work closely with the Policy and Advocacy Team to leverage Programme data and research findings for evidence-based policy recommendations and public engagement;
• Coordinate with the CSR and Communications Manager to enhance corporate engagement, stakeholder events, and external communications, including social media, press, and promotional materials;
• Any other duties relating to support CCIL’s mission and drive meaningful progress toward a Net Zero and just transition.
   

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in project leadership, development and management, preferably within the NGO or sustainability sector;
• Strong passion for climate change, sustainability, and community engagement, with relevant work experience considered a significant advantage;
• Proven track record in implementing international or local projects, with experience in grant applications and management, plus fundraising;
• Experience in cross-sectoral collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and community outreach initiatives;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including funders, government, corporate, and civil society representatives;
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail;
• Experience in leading team and manage multiple priorities, plus ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment;
• Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to explore, learn, and contribute to climate action efforts;
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
