Software Engineer

Responsibilities: 

As a software engineer joining a high-paced and fast-growing EdTech startup, we are looking for someone who can quickly adapt and take ownership of tasks at hand. With exciting growth opportunities ahead, we are looking for a passionate individual who is optimistic and ready to be a part of an expanding team. 

Your responsibilities will include working with the development team to implement new features on both the front end and back end. You have some experience with React, and are eager to get more experience while working on a meaningful product with a highly experienced and motivated team.

What you need: 

● Fluency in at least one modern programming language 

● Experience with at least one major web framework (NestJS, Django, Rails, etc.) 

● Familiarity with ReactJS

● Familiarity with unit testing, end-to-end testing and other automated testing methodologies

● Experience using Git and working in a Unix-based environment 

Bonus points for:

• Understanding of Redux 
• Experience with other technologies in our stack (NodeJS, MongoDB, Postgres, Docker,
  Redis, Kubernetes)
• Portfolio projects, contributions to open-source projects, or any other examples of your work you're able to share 
• Experience or demonstrated passion in education technology 

Language requirements: 

● English fluency 

● Conversational Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus
