The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is a member institute of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 2012. It is an innovative, professional and entrepreneurial organisation committed to greening and sustainability. THEi offers more than 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" degree programmes across six Academic Departments: Department of Food and Health Sciences, Department of Construction, Environment and Engineering, Department of Sport and Recreation, Department of Hospitality and Business Management, Department of Design and Architecture, and Department of Digital Innovation and Technology. These programmes cover industries with growth potential in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region. Employment Period:
12 Months (with the possibility of renewal)
Major Duties:
The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in a variety of research duties including but not limited to execute the research project, project coordination, proposal writing, presenting the project, technical support, data collection, data analysis, and report writing with text and graphics.
Requirements:
For the post of Research Assistant I, applicants should possess a recognised Master’s degree in 2D / 3D / Computer Graphic Animation, Computer Programming with Generative AI knowledge, or related disciplines, or a recognised degree in a relevant discipline with relevant work experience.
For the post of Research Assistant II, applicants should possess a recognised sub-degree in 2D / 3D / Computer Graphic Animation, Computer Programming with Generative AI knowledge, or related disciplines or equivalent level of study.
Applicants should also:
(a) have experience in comic, manga, anime, animation, motion capture, or latest generative AI technology;
(b) be proficient in software such as Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Substance, Maya, Blender, Opentoonz, Krita, Unreal Engine, Reality Capture, EndNote, or other related software;
(c) have good command of English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; and
(d) be a fast learner, able to work independently with strong sense of responsibility and detail-oriented.
Notes:
(1) The appointee(s) may be appointed on part-time employment.
(2) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(3) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(4) The appointee(s) will work at Chai Wan and Tiu Keng Leng campuses.
