Video Editor (12 months contract)

Main Responsibilities

• Edit all types of content that HK Ballet will produce ranging from branding videos, documentaries, promo, behind the scenes, trailers, video design for stage productions, full length performances, and more
• Oversee all aspects of post-production from picture editing, sound design, colour grading, title design, motion graphics, subtitling
• Work in order to meet project deadlines
• Manage and archive all media that will be created in a highly organised fashion through hard drive storage and cloud storage so that all files are easily accessible for anyone in the Video Department
• Keep post-production equipment and softwares up to date and post-production office clean and tidy
• Optimise and improve post-production processes where necessary
• Work closely with the Creative Video & Media Director on all aspects of post-production and suggest creative ways to piece together the work
• Carry out other duties as assign by Creative Video & Media Director or his/her delegate(s) from time to time

Requirements

• Holder of a degree related to cinematography and editing
• Minimum 3 years experience in cinematography and editing
• Good team player
• Must think creatively on his/her own and have a story-driven mindset, simply having technical abilities is not enough
• Excellent communication skills, highly organised, and attention to detail
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Excellent command of written and spoken Cantonese (Mandarin a plus also)
• Ability to multi-task and manage various projects simultaneously
• Must have proficiency with the Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc)
• Proficiency with DaVinci Resolve and/or Pro Tools would be a plus
• Willing to work irregular hours and on weekends/public holidays
• Experience in working on projects related to ballet/dance is an advantage
