Research Assistant Professor / Assistant Professor / Associate Professor (Ref: 2401177) Academy for Educational Development and Innovation
The University is committed to advancing knowledge, scholarship, and innovation through impactful research. To support the development of our strategic initiatives in Educational Neuroscience, we seek excellent, passionate, and dedicated academics to join our team. Successful candidates will become part of a distinguished team of scholars affiliated with the relevant academic department or academy.
The appointees will play a vital role in enhancing the University’s research capacity and impact in the field of Educational Neuroscience. Key responsibilities include: (i) conducting high-quality research and producing scholarly publications or other significant research outputs; (ii) initiating and leading research projects while securing external funding (e.g., ECS/GRF/PPR) to bolster domain significance; (iii) fostering academic and professional networks, including collaborations with local and international institutions; (iv) developing and delivering new programs in Educational Neuroscience; (v) engaging in and leading research activities with colleagues and postgraduate students; and (vi) serving as active members of the University community.
Applicants should possess a doctoral degree in fields related to educational neuroscience, cognitive science, psychology, neuroscience, or other related disciplines. We seek candidates who demonstrate a strong research profile with a commitment to advancing the understanding of learning processes and brain functions. Proficiency in English and Mandarin is essential, and familiarity with Cantonese and the educational landscape of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and/or China is advantageous. International or regional experiences will also be highly valued. For the position of Associate Professor, applicants should provide evidence of impactful research output and a robust publication record in relevant fields. Candidates for Assistant Professor positions should showcase their scholarly contributions and emerging research accomplishments.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract. Start-up research grant and fringe benefits include the University’s Voluntary Contributions to MPF Scheme or a contract-end lump sum payment (totaling up to 15% of the basic salary), leave, medical and dental benefits, and, where applicable, housing benefits.
