Network Specialist - Cisco, Huawei, H3C network (C33672)

Duties:

• Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the ICAC;

• To migrate and support IT infrastructure, including networks, firewalls and security related equipment;

• To participate in the installation, testing and evaluation of new hardware, software and technologies;

• To configure and support network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, security related equipment) to ensure optimal performance and security;

• To diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix system and network problems;

• To prepare and maintain network documentation;

• To provide project implementation and daily operations of system install and configure, testing and change request, etc;

• To assist in the implementation and support of appropriate security controls in IT systems;

• To undertake any other duties as assigned by his/her supervisors; and

• Able to work under pressure.

   

Requirements:

Academic Qualification

• Hold an undergraduate degree awarded by a post-secondary institution, or equivalent, in computer and information technology related discipline;

Language Proficiency

• Level 2 / Grade E or above in Chinese Language and Level 2 / Grade E or above in English Language (Syllabus B before 2007) in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; and fluency in spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua and in written English and Chinese.

Relevant field of work experience

• Have hands-on experience in the deployment and migration of network infrastructure in different brand such as Cisco, H3C, Huawei, SangFor and Hillstone.

• Have hands-on experience in the deployment of NDR.

Number of years of relevant work experience

• Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant post-qualification IT experience of which 1 year must be in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.

• Other essential requirements;

• At least 1 year' experience in Cisco, Huawei and H3C network device;

• Preference will be given to those candidates with professional qualifications such as CCNA, HCIA, H3CSE-RS+ or experience in network administration or configuration.

Technical Skills:

• At least 1 year's experience in CISCO IOS Software & CISCO Products (CIP);

• At least 1 year's experience in Huawei VRP & Huawei Products (HAU);

• At least 1 year's experience in Infrastructure (INF);

• At least 1 year's experience in Router Configuration (ROU);

• At least 1 year's experience in TCP/IP (TCP);

• At least 1 year's experience in Virtual LAN/LAN Switching (VLS);

• At least 1 year's experience in Network Design (NDN);

• 1 year's experience in Networking (NET) is an advantage;

• 1 year's experience in Network & System Management (NSM) is an advantage;

• 1 year's experience in Checkpoint Firewall Administration (CFA) is an advantage;

• 1 year's experience in Wireless and Mobile (WLM) is an advantage;

• 1 year's experience in Wireless Technology (WLT) is an advantage;

• 1 year's experience in Security Risk Assessment and Audit (SAA) is an advantage;

• 1 year's experience in Security Incident Detection and Handling (SDH) is an advantage;

• 1 year's experience in Security Risk Assessment (SRA) is an advantage;

• 1 year's experience in Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) is an advantage;

• 1 year's experience in IT Security (ITS) is an advantage;

• 1 year's experience in Metro Ethernet (MET) is an advantage;

• 1 year's experience in Metro-Ethernet Network (MNE) is an advantage;

• 1 year's experience in Mobile / Wireless Communication (MWC) is an advantage;

• 1 year's experience in Internet Firewall Technical Support (IFW) is an advantage;

• 1 year's experience in Ethernet (ETH) is an advantage.

Non-technical Skills:

• 1 year's experience in managing Government projects (MGP) is an advantage;

• 6 months' experience in conducting IT training/briefing (ITT) is an advantage.

• Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;

• At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
