Job Description
Launched in 1997, the China Daily Hong Kong Edition offers a unique local perspective that has become essential reading for decision-makers, including HKSAR government officials, CEOs and senior executives, scholars and academics in Hong Kong and Macau.
The China Daily Hong Kong Edition is recognized by both the newspaper industry and readers for its exceptional journalism and outstanding reporting. China Daily was a frequent winner at the most recent “Hong Kong News Awards” organized by the Newspaper Society of Hong Kong. Since 2010, The Hong Kong Edition has been honored every year at the “Hong Kong News Awards”, winning a current total of 113 awards.

In order to manage the development and its integrated revenue growth across China Daily media products, we are now looking for qualified candidates in Hong Kong to fill the following position:
Sub Editor (New Media)
Responsibilities:-
- Maintain and daily update the company’s 7 official social media account pages.
- Increasing the official pages’ follower numbers and influence.
- Plan and produce original video works.
- Study and analyze the new media development rules and trends.
Requirements:-
- Bachelor Degree or above in communications, journalism or related disciplines from a reputable university
- 1-2 years’ experience in video editing, project planning is preferably. Fresh graduates will also be considered
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese
- A good team player, proactive and with pleasant personality
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Creative, target-oriented and detail-minded
- Able to work independently and under pressure
- Strong planning and organizing capabilities and good time management
