Technical Designer (Garment Technician)

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate ladies’ fashion garment samples in terms of fit, measurements, constructions, sewing, workmanship and functional performances;
• Identify potential issues from the samples that may arise during production, and provide practical suggestions on how to fix or avoid;
• Amend/create graded spec and/or pattern when needed;
• Liaise with factories’ technicians or pattern makers to resolve fitting or construction issues;
• Provide technical advices or trainings to vendors/factories when needed ;
• Work closely with merchandising, quality, and US technical teams;
• Compile and update technical information as tool for future references or training.

Requirements:

• Tertiary educated in Clothing / Textile Engineering or related disciplines;
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience on woven and knit in ladies wear;
• Sound knowledge in garment fitting, construction, paper patter and grading;
• Hands-on experience in using FlexPLM and Adobe Illustrator is a plus;
• Previous exposure in buying office is an advantage;
• Capable to effectively communicate with vendors/factories, merchandising team, quality team, and technical team in US;
• Proficient in English and Mandarin, both verbal and writtern;
• Well organized, detail minded and team player;
• Work independently, self-motivated and be accountable.
