The Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council (the Council) invites forward-looking professionals with leadership to join us as the Executive Director. Being the core leader of the Council, he/she is expected to show his/her excellent strategic planning ability and management wisdom in leading our Council staff in the provision of innovative and high-quality services to the community, enhancing the sustainable development of the Council, and setting benchmarks in the field of social services.
Executive Director (Ref: ED - HO) (Closing date: 6 April 2025)
The Executive Director will report directly to the Executive Committee and will have the following key responsibilities:
I. Strategic planning and development
- Formulate appropriate service strategies and development plans based on the vision and mission of the Council;
- Ensure that the quality of services provided meets or exceeds the expectations of the Government, stakeholders and the community.
II. Optimization of operations and management
- Develop and regularly review the effectiveness of the policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency;
- Actively develop new services and projects to respond to social needs.
III. Collaboration and partnership building
- Establish close ties with the government, enterprises and community groups to foster collaboration;
- Seek sufficient resources to support the continued development of the Council.
IV. Talent management and risk monitoring
- Supervise the implementation of human resource policies and build an efficient team;
- Supervise the financial management of the Council to ensure effective implementation of the Council’s budget to achieve sustainable financial development;
- Identify and assess any risks that may affect the stakeholders and take appropriate measures to safeguard the Council’s sound operation.
Requirements:
- A degree in Social Sciences/Business Administration or equivalent;
- At least 15 years of experience in a large organization, including 10 years' experience in senior management (preferably in the position of Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director/Senior Social Work Officer or above);
- Working experience in public service or non-governmental organizations preferred;
- Registered social worker preferred;
- Good analytical, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
