Summer Internship Program (NAMI Discovery Program 2025)

Duties

NAMI Discovery Program aims to provide selected undergraduates and master students with major in Science, Engineering or related disciplines the opportunity to acquire knowledge and insight in nanotechnology and advanced materials through pursuing research and development tasks on new technologies, which also build the foundation for their advanced studies and career development in technology research.

Participants joining the program can learn from NAMI’s award-winning material researchers on cutting-edge innovations in a cross-cultural environment.

The program runs from June to August every year. NAMI will introduce different core technologies to the participants who will be assigned to one of the following market sectors for hands on research projects according to their fields of interest and potential:

• Construction
• Electronics
• Energy
• Environmental
• Healthcare

Requirements

• Full-time undergraduate students (Penultimate and final year students are preferrable);
• Major in Science or Engineering disciplines (passionate non-STEM majors will also be considered);
• Interested in pursuing a career in materials research and development;
• Obtained, or expected to achieve, a 3.0/4.0 cumulative GPA or above is preferrable; and
• Fluency in spoken and written English, Mandarin and/or Cantonese advantageous but not essential
