The Registry is responsible for the planning and implementation of policies concerning academic development and quality assurance, student admissions, registration, records, assessment and administration of study programmes.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for a wide range of duties pertaining to academic development and strategic planning
- Perform duties related to quality assurance and enhancement of undergraduate programmes of the University, including quality audits, review of academic policies and regulations, programme review, revision, approval, and administration; and other University-wide initiatives
- Provide secretarial support to committees
- Supervise staff in carrying out their duties
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
Requirements
- A good bachelor’s degree and preferably a higher degree
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience for the post of Administrative Manager, and at least 5 years of relevant work experience for the post of Assistant Administrative Manager, with not less than 3 years’ experience in the tertiary education sector
- Substantial experience in administration, preferably in academic planning and quality audits
- A high level of competence in writing and committee work
- Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
- An excellent command of written and verbal English and Chinese
- Ability to carry out duties independently
- A strong sense of responsibility
- Proficiency in IT applications will be a definite advantage
Candidates with less/more experience will also be considered for appointment at a relevant rank.
Salary and Fringe Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
