Role Overview:
As the world is fast transitioning to AI-centric platforms, Set Sail AI seeks a passionate AI Engineer to contribute to our innovative solutions for customer service platforms. This role presents a unique opportunity to blend foundational AI research with pragmatic implementations. We welcome candidates eager to learn and adapt, with a foundational understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence, as well as an interest in speech and generative AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design & Implement AI Models: Contribute to the design, training, and optimization of AI-driven solutions using deep learning models and large language models (LLMs).
2. Integrate AI & Speech Services: Assist in integrating third-party AI services (e.g., OpenAI, text-to-speech APIs) into our platforms.
3. Develop Conversational Logic: Help create algorithms and workflows to analyze user input and generate appropriate responses in real-time.
4. Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with product, UX, and other engineering teams to enhance user experiences and ensure seamless integration of AI solutions.

Essential Skills & Technologies:

1. Machine Learning & AI: Basic understanding and some experience with machine learning, deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch), and related libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas).
2. Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python; familiarity with JavaScript or Node.js is a plus.
3. AI Model Training: Experience or strong interest in training and fine-tuning deep learning models or LLMs, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
4. API Development: Basic understanding of API development and integration.
5. Speech Technologies: Preferred experience or interest in speech recognition and text-to-speech services.

Bonus Skills:

1. Computer Vision: Any experience in computer vision projects.
2. LLM Experience: Familiarity with large language models and generative AI applications.
3. Telecom Integration: Knowledge or experience with telecom protocols (SIP, VOIP) and contact center infrastructure is a plus.

Candidate Profile:

1. Academic Background: A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
2. Professional Experience:At least 1 year of experience in AI/ML or software engineering roles, preferably with hands-on projects in deep learning or related areas.
3. Technical Mastery: Basic understanding of machine learning frameworks and programming languages most relevant to AI development.
4. Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work efficiently within cross-functional teams, aligning technical solutions with real-world applications.
5. Eager Learner: Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and approaches in a rapidly evolving field.
