We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Information Technology Office:
Assistant Information Technology Manager (ITO) (Ref: 24002J7)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Providing system administration and technical support on IT infrastructure systems and/or campus network to maintain smooth day-to-day operations;
- Administering and supporting system and/or network including
- Linux, middleware, virtual web servers, and system programming;
- Identity management, authentication and database system;
- Campus network, internet /WAN and network security;
- Managing system and network inventory, maintenance contracts, and vendor support;
- Managing and executing technical solutions for IT projects;
- Supervising and coaching team members; and
- Performing any other duties as assigned.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- A recognized degree in Computer Science or a related discipline;
- At least 2 years’ relevant post-qualification experience in system & network technical support and administration;
- Familiar with Linux LAMP, Tomcat, Sendmail/Postfix and scripting languages, such as BASH, PERL or Powershell;
- Experience in implementation and/or administration of SAML IDP/LDAP, Oracle/SQL, and SharePoint;
- Experience in Aruba/HP/H3C/Huawei campus networking and handling network-related projects;
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills; and
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and to meet tight deadlines.
Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.
