We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences:
Assistant Lecturer (English Language) (A&SS) (Ref: 25000HU)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Planning, developing, coordinating and delivering primarily academic English courses at the undergraduate level;
- Undertaking/engaging in programme promotion;
- Participating in Department/School/University activities; and
- Performing any other duties as assigned by the Dean (A&SS) or his/her nominee(s)
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- A higher degree in English, Linguistics, Applied linguistics, TESOL or a related discipline;
- An excellent command of written and spoken English; and
- Relevant teaching experience would be an advantage.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
