The Kellogg–HKUST Executive MBA Program is a world-renowned collaboration between the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, and the Business School of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. The program has been ranked No.1 in the world twelves times in the Financial Times global ranking of Executive MBA programs. The program is now seeking a highly skilled Assistant Manager to play a crucial role in fostering strong connections and maintaining positive relationships with the alumni community. This position involves actively engaging with alumni, organizing events and initiatives, and providing valuable support to enhance alumni engagement and participation. Major duties include:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance alumni engagement and foster a strong sense of community among alumni;
- Plan and execute various alumni events, including reunions, networking sessions, and social gatherings to facilitate networking opportunities and strengthen alumni connections;
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and leverage opportunities for alumni involvement in mentoring programs, guest lectures, and student recruitment initiatives;
- Maintain an updated alumni database to ensure accurate records of alumni contact information and level of engagement;
- Regularly communicate with alumni through newsletters and social media platforms to keep them informed about program updates and upcoming events;
- Provide personalized support to alumni, addressing inquiries and facilitate connections between alumni and relevant resources;
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in alumni relations to continually enhance the effectiveness of alumni engagement strategies, and any other ad hoc activities.
Requirements
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree of a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification work experience, with proven experience in engaging with senior executives and operating in a multinational environment; demonstrated experience in alumni services, alumni relations, event planning, or related roles; excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse alumni groups. Strong organizational and project management abilities to plan and execute successful alumni events and initiatives; proficiency in using alumni database management systems and familiarity with CRM tools; knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms to effectively engage with alumni; exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills; positive attitude, self-motivated, and ability to work independently; willingness to work on weekends and outside normal office hours. The appointee should have native or near-native proficiency in English with knowledge in Chinese.
(Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided where applicable. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract
