We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Office of Research Affairs and Knowledge Transfer:
Assistant Manager (Research and Administration) (ORA) (Ref: 24002L8)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Assisting in processing and administration of research and development projects, research support activities, and awards;
- Providing secretariat support for research-related committees;
- Implementing new services to meet the growing research-related needs of the University;
- Assisting in managing the administrative services and support related to the functions and activities of the Office;
- Supervising and coaching the administrative staff team of the Office; and
- Performing any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- A recognized degree with at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in research administration;
- Good abilities in administrative management related to research and development projects, research support and awards, being resilient and flexible in dealing with emergency and ambiguity;
- Strong coaching and problem-solving skills, interpersonal and communication skills, multi-tasking and time management skills, and the ability to work under pressure and complete tasks independently;
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership, and a service mindset;
- Good information technology skills including MS Office tools, research information management systems, research administration systems, etc.; and
- Good command of English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.

An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
