Job Description

Major Duties:
(a) To assist in planning and implementing the Institute’s publicity and marketing / communications strategies;
(b) To write and edit various communication materials, such as press releases, advertorials, speeches, eDM, reports and other communications materials;
(c) To maintain positive relationships with media outlets, journalists, and other external stakeholders;
(d) To manage and develop content for Institute’s social media channels, such as LinkedIn;
(e) To collaborate with programme team and others operation units to explore THEi’s story and student achievements for press release write-ups and pitching;
(f) To support the Institute’s events including media luncheon, annual press conference, info day and education expos;
(g) To undertake committee work in various meetings, committees and boards; and
(h) To perform any other duties as assigned by the Institute’s management.

Requirements:
(a) A recognised degree or equivalent; preferably in the fields of Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field;
(b) At least 2 years’ relevant work experience at executive level; relevant experience in tertiary education institutions would be an advantage;
(c) Strong verbal and written communication skills, preferably including Putonghua;
(d) Strong connections with PR and marketing agencies and excellent contacts with celebrities, media, and press would be an advantage;
(e) Creative, proactive, details-minded, and ability to work independently; and
(f) Good problem-solving skills, inter-personal, organisational and administrative skills.

Notes:
(1) The post is at the rank of Officer.
(2) Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend and pass a written test.
(3) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and outside Hong Kong, and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays.
(4) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(5) The appointee will work at Chai Wan Campus.
