Job Description
Responsibilities:
This role will lead and oversee the Corporate Governance, Administration and Facilities Management departments, and a small team of secretarial and administrative support staff to the Directors.
Corporate Governance
- Serve as Secretary for Board committees and provide essential support to the Executive Committee (the Board)
- Responsible for the full spectrum of corporate secretariat and governance functions to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and governance requirements
Office Administration & Facilities Management
- Oversee the administration services for head office; central procurement, asset management and facilities management (including renovation projects) for BGCA’s headquarters building, office premises and service centers
- Ensure the usage of the headquarters building complies with the land lease agreement
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Corporate Governance or related disciplines
- Minimum 15 years' relevant experience in corporate secretariat, administration, governance or related functions, with at least 5 years' proven experience at managerial/supervisory level
- Member of Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI) or equivalent preferred
- Experience in NGO with good knowledge in Companies Ordinance, Lump Sum Grant Manual or Lotteries Fund Manual, etc. is an advantage
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills, and multitasking abilities to tackle changes and meet tight deadlines
- High level of integrity and ability to keep confidentiality and exercise discretion
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, ability to communicate with different levels of staff, senior management, Board members and external stakeholders
- Good communication skills in both English and Chinese, exceptional written English skills are required
