Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders in Group Head Office to drive the workforce effectiveness and support the business growth by providing quality services and advice on HR-related matters such as manpower planning, compensation and benefits, and staff engagement and retention
  • Manage the full employee life-cycle of Group Head Office employees including but not limited to recruitment, performance management cycle, annual merit review, and offboarding
  • Manage expatriates and inter-country transfers for Group Head Office including but not limited to package proposals, visa applications, and relocation logistics
  • Designing sustainable long-term HR strategies and providing practical mid-term solutions to meet business goals and achieve company vision
  • Drive local talent attraction & management, people development and employee engagement
  • Partnering with the internal Center of Excellence for Learning & Development as well as Total Rewards to enhance and develop HR policies and processes based on best demonstrated practices to continuously improve the employee experience
  • Collaborating with internal Shared Service Center in Malaysia to ensure a smooth employee experience
  • Ensuring effective employee communication 
  • Promoting safe behaviors and striving for the highest standards of safety and health performance
  • Complying with local legal requirements, anticipating changes and implementing actions. Driving our global policies and resuming the role as the Group Compliance Officer
  • Promoting and driving global or local People Initiatives across the organization and advising on people related matters on a strategic and operational level 
  • Representing the business within the Jardine Schindler group and Schindler worldwide on various initiatives
  • Lead and support other projects as necessary

 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related field; or equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum 10 years’  experience in Human Resources with at least 5 years’ regional experience, preferably in engineering or construction industry
  • Strong consultative relationship building with leaders and employees. Ability to establish credibility with diverse personalities; tactful, mature and flexible.
  • Profound leadership and organizational skills
  • Collaborative and pro-active approach, team player and self-motivated
  • Excellent facilitator with experience in resolving conflict between different parties
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Cantonese
  • Proficient in using MS office especially Excel and Powerpoint
