We’re looking for someone to lead and execute our internal communications strategy across our APAC region and Global Supply Chain function to deliver business and organisation goals and strategies. So, here’s what you’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading, managing and executing multiple communication plans and calendars for the APAC Region and our Global Supply Chain (GSC) function, covering a variety of initiatives such as business updates, employee engagement, brand and product campaigns and all organisation initiatives, such as Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Learning & Development, Employee Value Proposition, Total Rewards, Organisation Development and Culture.

  • Partnering with leadership to advise and create engaging internal communications that bring our business strategy to life in a personable and authentic way.

  • Managing a range of internal communication channels including Town Halls, newsletters, email campaigns and engagement campaigns.

  • Partnering with our Vice President of HR, you’ll manage communications within the HR team (APAC and GSC) ensuring strategic alignment and engagement.

  • Leading and advising on our annual engagement and inclusion communications including the annual survey, pulse survey, action planning and coordination among HR Leads with the goal to create a joyful workplace for all our people.

  • Partnering with Global Internal Communications on ensuring updates from our CEO cascade and resonate with teams in APAC and GSC and that projects and launches in APAC and GSC are communicated effectively to our global audience.

  • Being a true Dr. Martens brand ambassador. Bringing our culture, products and brand to life for our people.

  • Being agile to lead and deliver adhoc work based on business and organisation needs.

Dr. Martens is looking for an experienced, strategic employee communications expert. You not only have experience, knowledge and skills, you’re passionate about people, culture and creating an environment where people feel supported and can thrive. You will be a brand custodian and passionate about our 65-year history and even more passionate about our future. You work well alongside executive leadership teams, partnering with them to engage our people in our business, strategy and culture.

  • Your core background is communications and engagement. You have a minimum of five-years’ experience in a multi-channel organisation and thrive in a fast-moving environment.

  • Effective and excellent communicator. You can change your style to suit the audience. You challenge and can influence across a variety of stakeholders.

  • You are fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Additional languages such as Japanese, Korean, Thai or Vietnamese is a bonus.

  • You’re organised and comfortable creating communication plans and communicating those across a variety of stakeholders.

  • You demonstrate business acumen and leadership skills to envision, engage, enable, energise and execute. You lead and develop yourself and other people.

  • You are a strong collaborator. You’re agile, resilient, listen actively and are open to change based on feedback and business and organisation needs. You want to learn and care about Dr. Martens and the team without playing politics for self-interest.  

  • You’re passionate about people and culture. You lead with compassion and build strong and effective relationships with people in all levels of the business.

  • You’re creative and think outside the box. You love looking for ways to engage and communicate with teams from different countries and backgrounds.

  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to exercise acute judgement.

  • Relevant qualification or certification is an advantage.
