Merchandising Consultant (Health Supplement Product - China Market)

Job Responsibilities:

1. Provide ongoing expert consultation on merchandising strategies, market trends, and business opportunities in health supplement market of China
2. Identify new suppliers for the sourcing of high-quality health supplement products.
3. Negotiate with suppliers for contract terms and pricing.
4. Liaise with suppliers for various shipment matters.
5. Develop pricing strategies that maximize profitability of the health supplement business while maintaining the competitiveness in the market.
6. Ensure the compliance of the relevant import laws and regulations, labelling requirements, quality standards, licensing registration issues and documentation requirements in China.
7. Assist in the translation of product labels and ensuring accurate and compliant information for China markets.
8. Monitor the inventory control efficiency such as to manage merchandising process to maintain a smooth logistic and to decide an appropriate level of stock replenishment to meet the sales requirements.

Job Requirements:

1. Degree holder in Nutrition/Biochemistry/Food Science
2. A minimum of 10 years merchandising and product development experience in health supplements industry
3. Working experience in drugstore, pharmacies or medicine department in chain store would be an advantage
4. Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and Japanese (JLPT N2 or above level) is preferable
5. Willing to travel China and overseas occasionally
6. Immediate availability is highly preferred
