Job Description
As a Merchandising Specialist at Maverick & Co., you will be integral to managing our product inventory, building supplier relationships, overseeing design collaborations, and ensuring production quality. Your expertise will help us deliver the best possible experience to our customers and maintain Maverick & Co.’s competitive edge. Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

• Optimize inventory levels to balance demand with minimal carrying costs and stockouts.
• Analyze sales and trends to forecast demand accurately and adjust inventory strategies.

Supplier Relations & Procurement:

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Identify and evaluate potential new suppliers to expand product offerings.
• Conduct supplier performance assessments to ensure quality standards and address any issues proactively.

Sourcing & Product Design:

• Identify trends in business bags and accessories, sourcing skilled designers to create high-quality, innovative products.
• Collaborate closely with designers to ensure that all products meet Maverick & Co.’s quality and aesthetic standards.

Production Oversight:

• Develop and monitor production timelines in collaboration with suppliers.
• Oversee production schedules to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and on-time delivery.

Who’s Right for the Job:
We’re looking for someone who is:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or above in Merchandising, Fashion, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 2 years in merchandising, inventory management, and supplier relations, ideally within the fashion or accessories industry.
• Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with inventory management systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel vlookup), and Shopify (preferred).
• Personal Qualities: Exceptional attention to detail, accountability, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-informed decisions in a dynamic environment.
• Availability to Travel: Willingness to travel as required to manage supplier relationships and production processes.
