Job Description
To support the strategic growth in our business, we are now inviting high caliber to join the team as: APAC Merchandising Manager
Your opportunity
This is a position to support growing business in APAC (APAC markets currently include Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore with plans to open in Thailand, Malaysia, Australia - SEAP); functionally garnering support from HQ Milan. This position will directly report to APAC President and lead a China Merchandising Manager who base in Shanghai. Great opportunity for a fast learner, business minded merchandising professional to join this highly energetic team.
How you will contribute
- Have a strong sense of business needs
- Review and support sell through performance results by managing market inventory, including model stock assortment, local market stock request and related merchandising opportunities
- Review and support merchandise transfers arising from client requests or deposits to ensure optimization of on hand inventory within market / region.
- Continuously review product sales performance to challenge and improve inventory efficiencies and optimize business growth
- Conduct frequent market visits and competitor research to provide local data and qualitative comments to support opportunities
- Responsible for initiating and reviewing new product forecasts with Management
- Responsible for initiating and reviewing assortment for new boutique openings
- Support new, ad-hoc projects including Client related, Pop Ups, Vintage sales and other Marketing and Sales related opportunities
- Support financial analysis, planning and other Management projects of presentation materials for Management.
- People management skill, ability to build strong relationships with the team, communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
- To perform additional duties and regional projects as assigned by APAC President to meet the company development.
Who you are
- Degree holder or above
- 8-12 years of relevant experience in merchandising within luxury consumer retail industries
- Numerically sensitive with strong commercial sense
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent in spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) an advantage
- Fully proficient in all MS Office tools
- Self driven , energetic, passionate, and internal/external customer oriented
