Job Description
The appointee will work in the Finance & Development team under the Faculty and Planning Office, Faculty of Medicine. Duties include (a) managing requests for venue bookings and working with supporting staff on venue set-up as per user requests;
(b) assisting in building facility management, including repair follow-ups, pest control arrangements, and access control; (c) handling requests and inquiries from staff, teachers and students, e.g. building access rights, furniture borrowing; (d) supporting general office operations and procurement; (e) compiling data and reports for management’s review; and (f) performing other tasks as assigned. Overtime work and working beyond normal office hours may be required occasionally.
Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education, preferably with a Bachelor’s degree; (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B); OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, “Attained” or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; (iii) fast and accurate Chinese and English typing skill; (iv) good computer skills (including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint); (v) a good command of spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); (vi) a strong sense of responsibility and accuracy, and attentiveness to details; and (vii) self-motivated, organised and a good communicator. Having at least 1 year’s administrative experience is preferred.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
