Job Description

We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences:

Research Associate (Jockey Club “BaMa Chill Club” Perinatal Support Project) (N&HS) (Ref: 24002PI)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will mainly assist with a project named Jockey Club “BaMa Chill Club” Perinatal Support. The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • Managing a project for conducting family-based stepped-care intervention to support perinatal couples and parents across the spectrum of needs and to promote peri-natal mental well-being through community- or hospital-based activities and services;
  • Coordinating the project implementation, overseeing data collection, performing quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and leading the database construction and management;
  • Coordinating and training team members for recruiting participants in hospital settings and using social media platforms;
  • Leading and designing the framework for participants' follow-ups;
  • Liaising with community parties and partner institutions;
  • Drafting reports and presentations relevant to the project; and
  • Performing administrative tasks and any other duties as assigned to support the operation of the project.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • A PhD degree in Nursing, Public Health, Social Sciences or a related discipline;
  • Strong leadership and project management skills;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Able to work independently and effectively in a multidisciplinary team; and
  • Have a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation; and good coordination, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience in managing large-scale projects would be an advantage.

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary and an end-of-contract gratuity will be offered to the right candidates. Generous annual leave, staff-development sponsorships, medical and dental benefits, and life insurance coverage will also be provided. The contract will be initially for 12 months with the possibility of renewal.
