Job Description

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

  1. handle tenders/quotation exercises to procure a wide range of goods and services for various user units;
  2. guide users to take necessary steps and liaise with them on preparation of purchase requisition, tender/ quotation specifications, evaluation, recommendation, etc.
  3. ensure the procurement process in compliance with the College’s regulations and procedures, and relevant applicable procedures;
  4. serve as the Secretary of Tender Assessment Panel meetings;
  5. prepare price summaries, quotation reports, meeting minutes, tender board papers, PO, contracts, etc.;
  6. verify funding for the tender/quotation execution/award;
  7. perform supplier registration, updating supplier records, etc.;
  8. handle common office supplies purchases and payment requisitions;
  9. handle disposal of fixed assets and minor furniture and equipment; and
  10. handle any ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

Applicants should:

  1. possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant working experience in handling request for quotation and tender exercises preferably gained in the tertiary education sector or public organizations;
  2. have abilities to perform multi-tasks and work independently with minimum supervision;
  3. possess good planning, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills;
  4. be well organized, detail minded, self-motivated with positive work attitude, and have good team spirit;
  5. have good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and
  6. be proficient in Microsoft Office software applications (Word and Excel).

Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
