Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will mainly assist the research team in a research project “Estimating Typhoon Wind Damage to Tall Buildings in Hong Kong in Changing Climates” (Project No.: PFDS/2024/34). He / She will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Performing data analysis;
- Assisting in report writing and presentation of the results;
- Carrying out other research activities as instructed by the Investigators; and
- Providing effective research and teaching-related assistance.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- A Master's degree or above in Quality Management, Business Administration or a related discipline;
- Familiar with Building Management System (BMS), web and/or mobile app development, design and programming;
- Strong sense of responsibility, effective organizational and interpersonal skills; and
- Very good command of English and Chinese.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary full-time or a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
Duration of Appointment
6 months (for Temporary Research Assistant I) or 8 months (for Part-time Research Assistant I)
