Transportation Specialist

We are seeking a Transportation Specialistto join the Hong Kong Office.

The Transportation Specialist is tasked with supporting the APAC Transportation Manager in operational logistics activities, focusing on resolving ad hoc system issues and managing space constraints. This role requires a hands-on approach to daily transportation challenges, ensuring that Amer Sports’ products are delivered with efficiency and precision.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively manage and resolve space release issues by liaising directly with forwarders’ local offices throughout the APAC region.
• Communicate effectively with brand representatives to address and resolve ad-hoc shipment concerns, ensuring a smooth logistics process.
• Identify and rectify ad-hoc EDI incidents between various systems.
• Compile and present comprehensive monthly summaries of EDI issues to improve system integration and operational efficiency.
• Analyse and document monthly incidents related to space (Shipping Orders) release from carriers and any shipment problems, providing detailed reports for continuous operational improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation / Logistics or related field
• 3 years or above experience in transportation / logistics, experience gained in 3PL is highly preferred
• Knowledge of international shipping/transportation
• Knowledge of incoterms
• Good computer skills in Microsoft Office, SAP (logistics module) is a plus
• Analytical mind, ability to work with data / KPI’s
• Fluent in English – verbal and in writing
